Can Your Walking Shoes Be Too Wide
Even though you have wide feet, buying shoes that are too wide isnt advisable. They wont give your feet the support you need, and they wont be properly aligned. This can lead to foot issues like metatarsalgia or heel spurs.
Signs that your shoes are too wide include:
- Curling your toes to hold shoes on your feet.
- Shoes that only stay on when the laces are fully cinched.
- Heels slipping at the back of your shoes.
- Gaps at the sides of the shoes.

Do Trail Running Shoes Come In Wide
There are a few models that do but many trail shoes are only offered in the standard, medium widths.
