Kate Wearing Nike Vapormax Sneakers
Towards the end of 2017 Kate was ready for action in Monreal London track pants and a Nike top.
Her trainers? One of her coolest pairs to date, the Nike VaporMax sneakers in a light blue shade. She wore the pair again in 2019 to visit a primary school in London.

Kate Wearing New Balance Vazee Trainers
These trainers are designed as a women’s trail running shoe, and Kate put them to the test for a London Marathon training day in February 2017 although she didn’t beat husband Prince William or brother-in-law Prince Harry, she was as elegant as ever giving them a run for their money.
Later in November, she pulled the New Balance out of her wardrobe to a visit to Birmingham, co-ordinating her coat and sneaks to perfection. The style has now sold out, but the New Balance Draft V1 is a similar style.

The Duchess Often Rocks Stylish Kicks
Princess Kate might be best known for her love of a wedge heel or classic court, but when it comes to keeping things casual, she loves to rely on a good pair of trainers. And we’re not going to lie, so do we.

Kate keeps it classic in her choice of sneakers, often opting for plimsolls or more functional trainers. That doesn’t mean her choices are boring though the Princess of Wales is quite bold in her colour choices, flitting from bright red to pale blue or even block colour with colourful accents.
Take a look through Kate’s impressive trainer wardrobe and shop her go-to pair.

Stylists Love Superga Too
To get a better idea of how to style the trendy sneakers, I reached out to image consultant and stylist Christina Stein, who shared her thoughts on the brand’s classic look. “This is a company that knows its footwear and comfort, so everybody trusts it,” Stein said. “I think in particular it’s such a feminine-looking sneaker.”
She also noted that while the chunky shoe trend isn’t for everyone this shoe, “gets back to the origin of what a sneaker should look like.”
When it comes to styling the comfy shoes, some people might be reluctant to pair a skirt and sneaker, but Stein says they’re actually really fun to wear together and the combo is even office-appropriate for a “smart casual” environment. “For summer in particular, if you’re just over the short, tennis shoe look try a really adorable dress. Just a summer linen dress with a pair of tennis shoes or a skirt with a really fun pattern on it.”
How To Wear Superga Sneakers
Im so glad I gave these shoes a shot and was able to share my Superga Sneaker review! I ended up wearing them all summer in England for cool days with minimal rain. They are ideal shoes for mild weather travels, cool summers, and light rain. They still hold up, despite my wearing them all over town just about every day.
Theyre ultra-stylish and seem to go well with all my clothing. Theyre also celebrity and blogger approved. For some reason, these sneakers have been the only exception to this rule.
I even tried fashionable leather sneakers, but they still didnt feel right. My classic Supergas in grey have somehow transcended my dislike of sneakers .

Kate Wearing Adidas Pureboost X Trainers
The Princess of Wales swapped a pair of Rupert Sanderson courts for a pair of lightweight £90 trainers when showing off her rowing skills in Portsmouth with Sir Ben Ainslie back in 2016. The snazzy turquoise laces jazzed up her all-black-ensemble like a style icon would.
Kate’s Pureboost design has now sold out, but Adidas’ revamped versions, the Ultraboost, are a great alternative – just switch the laces out for a bright, bold blue like Kate.

Tips For Packing Your Sneakers
Determining how to pack sneakers for travel can be difficult, especially if youre trying to pack light. To make it easier, start by choosing a container such as a shoe bag or a packing cube then pack according to your type of luggage.
Whether you have a front loading or top loadingbackpack, it is important to put your shoes in first, at the bottom. If youre planning to pack shoes in arolling carry-on, remember that its stands sideways so it is important to note how it functions when it is upright. Most often, your shoes will need to be packed close to the wheels, so that the luggage maintains its balance in transit.
To store, usewashable shoe bags, gallon size Ziploc bags, or plastic shower caps to keep your belongings separate from your shoes.

Kate Wearing New Balance Fresh Foam Cruz
Dressed in her sporty kit for the King’s Cup sailing race last year, Kate debuted a new style of her favourite New Balance numbers. The trendy trainers feature a knitted fabric and are still available.
She wore the same pair in navy blue back in 2017, during a visit to the Irish Football Association in Belfast. The style is called the ‘Fresh Foam Cruz v2 Sport’ and the brand has since launched plenty of similar versions of the spongey sneakers.

Are Superga Sneakers Good For Travel
As a traveler thats always looking to pack light, their weight instantly put me off. In fact, this was the only complaint our readers had about these shoes when they weighed in with their Superga sneakers review. They all said they were cute but they were heavy.
The weight almost stopped me from traveling with them, and Im so glad I didnt. I wanted to find out why so many women are in love with these shoes.
I wore them on the plane to and from my destination instead of packing them inside my suitcase. Because of this, their weight was no longer an issue for me as a traveler.
As Ive already mentioned, these shoes are stylish and well-loved by many. If youre happy with light support and comfortable yet casual chic shoes, theyre are a good option for travel!
However, if you need arch support, choose fromthese shoes instead!

What Makes Superga Stand Out
With the clean, white material and tan sole, I loved the classic look the moment I slipped my feet into them. The shoes are supportive without being chunky, fitted without being too tight and they show just the right amount of ankle.
Since I got my pair I’ve worn them just about everywhere: to the office, on a flight and to a bridesmaids’ brunch. So it would be an understatement to say I’ve gotten my money’s worth.
I Bought The White Sneakers To Try:
After seeing Kate wear her white Cotu Classics with so many different outfits, I decided to take the plunge and get a pair for myself. I love how Kate styled them with long floaty dresses and jeansI wanted to do the same.
I opened the box and was dazzled by the canvas immediatelythe shoes are SO CLEAN AND WHITE AND NEW. It made me a bit nervous to wear them, truth be told. So I took to Twitter and asked my followers/friends about their experienceshow do they keep them pristine? How do they get out the stains? I was told to only wear them on dry days and avoid muddy grass where possible. They also provided a few cleaning tips too .
Although described as lightweight by some leading retailers, I found the shoes a little heavy at first. But this is likely because I am used to wearing a super light shoe on a daily basis. Within a few minutes, I didnt notice the weight and now Im totally used to them.
In terms of fit/comfort, I bought my usual size and have zero complaints.
I was NOT compensated for this review. In the interests of transparency, I do use affiliate links on this page. I will receive a commission from Superga if you purchase a pair of trainers through one of my links. Superga didnt ask me to write this review. In fact, Ive never had any communication with the company. The commissions come through a third party.

Readers Agree: Superga Sneakers Are A Stylish Step Above Other Brands
I turned to our readers and asked them for their Superga reviews, which were mostly good. One reader says: I wore them in Italy in summer 2015, for almost two weeks. I put Dr. Scholls gel insoles in them and they were great I wore them two days straight for tons of walking at the World Expo.
But some readers felt that while they are cute to wear at home they were a little heavy for travel: My two cute pairs of Supergas stay home. Even with extra insoles, they are not comfy enough for me to do all day on my feet. Plus they are soooo much heavier to pack than other similar styles.
With mixed feedback, I decided to try them out for myself. This is my Superga sneakers review:
About The Superga Cotu Classics:
These trendy trainers are made from a strong cotton canvas upper on a vulcanised gum sole. Theyre fully breathable and made from pure cotton. Heres how Superga describes the Cotu on their website:
Our Classic Superga 2750 Cotu shoe is Fashions trainer of choice. With an extra strong, fully breathable, pure cotton upper, our timeless shape trainer is a lightweight, simple canvas tennis shoe with our vulcanised rubber sole. In production since 1911, this is the staple shoe with full versatility, and is the very definition of smart casual.

Kate Wearing Veja Esplar Leather Trainers
Early 2021, Kate joined husband William as they returned to the University of St Andrews, where they met 20 years ago.
The mother-of-three donned one of her favourite, past-season Breton-striped tops for the occasion, and a pair of Veja trainers. The environmentally-friendly, sustainable shoes are big news right now, so the Princess is bang on trend with this one.

Kate Owns The Superga Cotu Classics In Green Too
The Superga Cotu Classics come in a range of different colours. Kate also owns them in green! The Princess has worn them on three public engagements to date.
Plus did you know that Princess Diana wore the exact same sneakers? In 1996, she travelled to Angola. Pictures show the late Princess wearing the 2750 Cotu Classics in navy blue.

How many pairs of Superga Cotu Classics does Kate Middleton own?
We know the Princess has worn at least three separate pairs to date. The 2750 in white and the 2750 in green. She re-purchased the white Cotu Classics at some point in 2022. We can tell from photography by counting the number of eyelets on the shoes. In earlier engagements, the shoes have five eyelets. They have six at later engagements.

I took her advice and paired the shoes with a skirt from my closet, and wouldn’t you know I loved the look. I felt put together, yet casual enough to run errands or meet up with friends after work. If you opt for pants, Stein recommends ankle-length jeans or peddle pushers to complete the look.
One pro tip I have is to wear no-show socks with these sneakers. I opted for a pair like these from Hanes that are so soft and somehow make my Superga sneakers even more comfortable.
While some people might be turned off by the cost at first, I think they’re worth the price. “You spend the most time in your shoes and on your mattress, it pays to invest in both,” Stein said.
All in all, I would definitely recommend these sneakers to anyone who is looking for a chic, yet comfortable shoe that’s sure to become a staple for the warmer months ahead.

What Are Superga Sneakers
Superga is an Italian footwear brand that is best known for its classic 2750 Cotu Classic sneaker shown above. The design is over 100 years old but has been transformed over the years to feature new heights, fabrics, and weather-friendly options, too.
The Superga Cotu looks like a traditional sneaker but for some reason attracts a wider range of women including fashionistas, celebrities, even royalty. In fact, Kate Middleton was spotted wearing a pair at the London Marathon amongst other places.
Many years ago, I first saw a girl wearing a black pair of Supergas in Rome paired with a nice black romper. I couldnt believe how stylish they looked with her chic outfit.
The Superga Cotu sneaker seems more polished and put together than a traditional sneaker even though it looks so similar. Somehow theyre just different. Perhaps Supergas are the shoes you wear if you dont normally wear sneakers?
I should note that these sneakers come in a variety of styles, too. There are Superga slip on sneakers, Superga platform sneakers, and Superga white sneakers and they easy to pair with any outfit from your travel capsule wardrobe!

Readers Agree Superga Cotu Are Great
To encapsulate my Superga sneakers review as someone that does not wear sneakers or any type of athletic shoe, I have seriously fallen in love with these shoes!!!
Theyve traveled practically everywhere with me the past year and I even took them to the Galapagos. Theyve also become my go-to summer shoe in England and a no-brainer option for days or trips where Ill be encountering avariety of weather including light rain.
They are 100% TFG Approved! If you are looking for an easy to wear, neutral shoe that you can use in a variety of settings and weather , theSuperga Cotu Classic is a must!

Plus, I’m not kidding when I say that these shoes hold up! I was worried the bright white sneakers would get dirty quickly, but I’ve been pleasantly surprised. Dirt has easily wiped off and while they have a few spots, they’re not really noticeable. Another thing I love is just how comfortable these sneakers are. I feel like I could go on a nice long walk in them and be totally fine.
According to the brand, the rubber sole has a “crepe-textured” that is meant to help with traction and it actually works. I recently took a walk through the park after it had rained, and even though the stone steps were slick with water , I never once felt like my feet weren’t firmly on the ground.
