I picked up the all-white colorway, opting for a pair that will go with anything and will look great once beat up.
I was worried that the tell-tale jazz stripe wouldnt show up against all white, but the texture of the leather detailing gives it nice depth against the stitched canvas paneling. The rest of the appearance is as expected.

I bought a new pair of sandals this summer, and brought them along with me for a month in Colombia & Panama. I was going to two hot, tropical destinations and I knew I wouldnt want to wear anything but sandals for a month straight.
So I found a new pair of travel sandals. To be fair, I also brought my Tevas! These definitely arent replacement water or hiking sandals.
What I found was that my new sandals, the Born Tusayans, are the perfect city sandal! They make a great alternative to my go-anywhere, do-everything Tevas on the days where I just want a cute sandal for running around a city exploring. Plus, the flat sole is thicker and a little bit more padded, which protects my feet on long days of pounding hard asphalt.

The sole is thick enough to cushion my feet on long walking days but flexible enough to allow my feet to move and stretch naturally while I walk.
This is the main reason why I throw these sandals in my bag alongside my Tevas: the sole is more padded while still super flexible.
That said: I wouldnt take these sandals offroading they arent flexible enough for a hike or outdoor activities. But they are perfect for city exploration.
