I first heard of APL when lululemon announced their collaboration with APL in select stores. All the ladies in lululand were crazy about them. The APL Bliss sneaker also made it to Oprahs favorites list.
So I figured why not?!
Apl Review: Techloom Bliss Sneaker
My activity of choice is yoga, weight training, and hiking with some Turbo Kick Boxing and Body Pump sprinkled in between. I purchased my Bliss sneakers from Carbon38. Carbon38 also offers APLs popular Breeze and Phantom styles.
I went with the Bliss sneaker because they dont have laces! I loved this feature because they were super easy to slide on and off.
The shoes were also very lightweight and comfortable to walk in around town.

Why I Love The Apl Techloom Bliss Sneaker
To be perfectly honest, I stayed away for awhile because I thought they were all hype. Also, this one-of-a-kind looking sneaker comes with a one-of-a-kind price tag: $205 to be exact.When I finally bought my first pair, I saw what all the hype was about. The shoe felt like it was made for me. I love that I could slide them on the convenience alone made them my go-to when I would get dressed quickly. The sole is incredibly comfortable. The sneakers are lightweight but not flimsy they provide enough support without the weight. Theyre versatile- I lift weights, run, and do my errands in these. And, THE LOOK!

How To Wash Your Apl Shoes
Care instructions for APL shoes were surprisingly easy and straightforward. Just remove the inner soles, place your APLs into a garment bag, and pop them into the washer on delicate. No detergent is needed.
I air dry my shoes away from sunlight. They were completely dry within one day. Below you can see how my shoes looked after an Alaskan hike and after I washed it in the washing machine.
I wash my shoes separately from my clothing to prevent any abrasion and destruction against my activewear fabrics.
If youre in a pinch, use a wet cloth to rub any stains off your shoe. Dirt EASILY comes off the rubber portion of the shoe using a damp rag. I was very impressed with how easy it was to maintain my APL shoes.
I also took my shoes to Costa Rica and trekked through muddy rainforests. I wiped the shoe off using a wet towel and it cleaned up like new! I was impressed at how easy it was to clean.

Trying Out The Apl Techloom Pro
I settled on the APL Techloom Pro, the brand’s classic running sneaker , because it’s designed to allow for maximum stability and breathability while being lightweightand looking cool. Plus, it provides cushioning for your feet without feeling or looking bulky. APL is also known for its minimalistic silhouettes and monochromatic color palettes, and I opted for the Black/Metallic Pearl/White combo, which is dark and sleekand a bit more intricate than plain black.
The great thing about APL is you won’t find any ugly shades or color combinations. While you can certainly choose a pair of the brand’s classic white kicks or black sneakers, APL also makes footwear in soft, muted colors like “Forged Blue,” and “Pale Moss.” On top of that, it carries bright shades like “Phantom” and “Bright Mint” , if you’re into that kind of thing. But let’s be realwhile comfort is the goal with shoes, style speaks first and APLs are the sexiest sneaker brand out there. Luckily, the brand delivers on both.
One quirk to be aware of with APL sneakers is the laces will tie behind the tongue. If you don’t do this, they may cut into your ankle when you walkor maybe that’s just me. Regardless, wearing the laces tucked behind the tongue just adds to the style factor, IMHO.

Techloom Bliss: Secured Even If It Has A No
The APL TechLoom Bliss has a stunning no-lace design that allows quick slip on and off. This model is also dressed with a stretchy knit upper reinforced with a wide elastic band. This gives ease of slipping, suitable for the on-the-go lifestyle.
Despite its no-lace style, the single-piece knit upper plus the wide elastic band exceptionally hugs the foot. Wearers have cited that it does not feel tight and doesn’t slip off their feet even while doing a light workout.
Sliding Into Apl Slides
APL offers various athletic shoes for men, women, and kids , including running, training, and basketball sneakers. Not to mention, the footwear brand has even branched out with a collection of slides. So, obviously, I had to invest in a pair of slip-on sandals after finally discovering a brand that didn’t leave my dino feet in total agony.
Let me say this: the Techloom Slide is the ultimate indoor/outdoor shoe. If you have the luxury of working from home during this pandemic, then you’re probably not wearing “work shoes” anymore. I have about half a dozen summer flats crying for my return to an office. But look, if it’s not in a Zoom frame, it’s not on my bodyand that’s just where we’re at.
Anyway, these slides are basically the UGGs of summer shoes in terms of comfort, but way more acceptable in terms of style . They’re truly the softest, cushiest things I’ve worn, and even have my house slippers beat! I’ve taken to wearing them all damn day, whether I leave home or not. And by the way, they’re machine washable, which is incredibly helpful at keeping stink at bay when you wear the same shoes 24/7.
If you’re in the market for a new sneaker or sandal from a brand that not only gets a stamp of approval from A-listers, but also from someone with finicky feet, looks no further than APL. I’m pretty sure I won’t be wearing any other athleisure or fitness shoe brand for as long as Athletic Propulsion Labs is around.

On Feet All Day No Problem
The APL TechLoom Bliss is amazingly comfortable and numerous satisfied users consider swapping their Nike or Adidas kicks for these. Users with foot aches also vouched that they had no problems wearing the Techloom Bliss all day.

Ive tried on the Cloudfoam line from Adidas and they are beyond comfortable! I HIGHLY recommend these for look, comfort and function. Both the black and white too! 2. ADIDAS RACER ADAPT These are available in the cutest colors! 3. SKETCHERS ULTRA FLEX- HARMONIOUS I love my rosey pink APLs and this color is super similar. These would make perfect everyday shoes too! 4. ADIDAS SUPERSTAR SLIP-ON SNEAKER The superstar shoes are a classic and this is the cutest twist! I love the criss cross strap. 5. PUMA DARE WN SNEAKER These are similar to the APLs yet eye-catching in their own way.
